I’m a   mom, wife, and student, who discovered a great love of food after giving up the meat, dairy, and eggs. I’ve had so much fun over the past two and a half years journeying through vegetarianims and making the transition to (mostly) vegan. I’m not a super creative type in the kitchen–I rely heavily on the awesome cookbook authors and bloggers who never cease to astound me in their creativeness. I’m hoping this blog will help me to find my own creativity in the kitchen-if not, it’s at least a good excuse to pick up new cookbooks along the way. I am fortunate to live in an area that is surprisingly vegan friendly; there isn’t  much in the way of dining out, but I can find pretty much any ingredient that I need within 30 minutes of home. Except for black salt, damn is that stuff elusive!
